Construct 4.0

How can designers collaborate with AI to enhance creativity using public AI image-generation tools? While AI simplifies visualization, it also raises concerns about the designer’s role. To address this, I developed a worksheet to guide collaboration and applied it to create my own collection. Construct 4.0 reflects the project’s focus on innovative design methods inspired by the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Nexumy

Nexumy is a footwear collection inspired by the signs of aging and wear, reimagining traditional shoemaking through material transformation.
Drawing from natural pleating and wrinkling in aged footwear, it uses a single rectangular fabric for the uppers, draped and secured with shoelaces.
The laces integrate with 3D-printed soles featuring weaving channels for structural support and adaptability. Nexumy challenges conventional design, emphasizing evolution, adaptability, and material storytelling.
